Website Privacy Policy

1. Our Commitment to Privacy
Your privacy matters to Wild Equities Management LLC and its affiliates (collectively, “Wild,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Website Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through wildequities.com (the “Website”), how and why we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. Please read it together with our Terms of Use.
This Website Privacy Policy does not apply to processing that is covered by a more specific notice. In particular, individuals who are natural-person investors or limited partners in funds we manage receive a separate Investor Privacy Notice describing how we handle their information under the U.S. Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”) and SEC Regulation S-P. To the extent anything in this Website Privacy Policy conflicts with that Investor Privacy Notice or with rights under the GLBA and Regulation S-P (“GLB Rights”), the Investor Privacy Notice and GLB Rights control. See also our Terms of Use.
2. Who We Are
Wild Equities Management LLC is the entity responsible for the personal data described in this Website Privacy Policy. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“EU GDPR”), the UK GDPR, and the UK Data Protection Act 2018 (together, the “EU and UK Privacy Laws”), Wild acts as a controller of your personal data. Our principal office is 1201 3rd Ave #2200, Seattle, WA 98101, and you can reach us at info@wildequities.com.
3. The Personal Data We Collect and How We Collect It
We collect personal data: (a) when you provide it to us directly — for example, through the “Contact” function, by email or phone, when you ask to receive communications, or when you apply for a role with us; (b) automatically when you use the Website, through cookies and similar technologies (see the Cookies section); and (c) from third parties and publicly available sources.
From third parties, we may collect basic identifying and business-contact information about representatives of our vendors, business partners, advisors, and portfolio companies from the organizations they work for. We also process personal data in connection with companies we are evaluating for a potential investment or other transaction, where that data is provided to us by parties involved in the transaction, including the target. Such data is typically limited to information such as name, title, employer, business email and postal address, and business telephone number.
We collect only the personal data we need for the purposes described below, and we will not use it for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without notice.
4. Why We Use Your Personal Data and Our Legal Bases
We use your personal data for the purposes set out below. For individuals protected by the EU and UK Privacy Laws, the table also identifies the legal basis we rely on; we may rely on more than one basis for a given purpose. For purposes of the California Consumer Privacy Act, these are our “business purposes.”
5. Marketing Communications
We will only send you newsletters, updates, alerts, and similar marketing communications where you have asked to receive information from us. You can ask us to stop sending marketing communications at any time by emailing info@wildequities.com or by using any unsubscribe mechanism we provide.
6. How We Share Personal Data
We share personal data with our affiliates and with service providers who help us run our business — for example, legal and tax advisors, auditors, compliance consultants, fund administrators, and IT and security providers — as necessary for the purposes described in this Website Privacy Policy. We require service providers to enter into agreements with us and to meet our standards for protecting personal data and using it only as instructed.
We may also disclose personal data where required or permitted by law, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, to comply with a court order, regulatory request, or other legal or investigatory process, or to address fraud or security matters. If Wild or any of its affiliates is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal data may be disclosed to the parties to that transaction and their advisors.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. International Transfers
We are based in the United States, and the personal data we process may be transferred to, stored in, or accessed from the United States and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those in your location. Where we transfer personal data subject to the EU and UK Privacy Laws outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we do so on the basis of an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement). For more information about the safeguards we use, contact info@wildequities.com.
8. Security and Retention
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, misuse, alteration, and accidental loss, and we limit access to those who have a business need to know. We have procedures to address suspected personal-data breaches and will notify you and any applicable regulator where we are legally required to do so. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, however, and any transmission is at your own risk.
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Website Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required by law or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. For more information about retention, contact info@wildequities.com.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Website, remember your preferences, understand how the Website is used, and improve performance. Where cookies are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent before setting them. You can manage or refuse cookies through your browser settings or any cookie-preference tool we provide, though some features may not function if you do.
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal; because there is no common industry standard for these signals, we do not currently respond to them. Where required by applicable law, we treat recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data.
10. Children
The Website is intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a person under 18, we will delete it.
11. Your Rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have some or all of the following rights in relation to your personal data. To exercise them, contact info@wildequities.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and some rights are subject to legal limits and exceptions.
- Access — to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — to ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Deletion — to ask us to delete personal data, where we are not required to keep it.
- Restriction — to ask us to limit how we process your personal data in certain circumstances.
- Objection — to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
- Portability — to receive certain personal data in a portable format or have it transferred to another organization.
- Withdrawal of consent — to withdraw any consent you previously gave, without affecting processing already carried out.
12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
This section applies to California residents and supplements the rest of this Website Privacy Policy. References to personal data include “personal information” and “sensitive personal information” as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (the “CCPA”). To the extent the CCPA conflicts with GLB Rights, the GLB Rights apply.
We do not sell, and have not sold, your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information beyond the purposes permitted by the CCPA. Subject to certain exceptions, California residents have the right to:
- Know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it, over the preceding 12 months.
- Request deletion of personal information we have collected.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in the “How to Contact Us” section below. We will not provide a different level or quality of service, or charge different prices, because you exercised your rights.
13. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights
Residents of certain other U.S. states (for example, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Texas, among others) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal data, to opt out of certain processing, and to appeal a refusal of a request. To exercise any such rights, contact info@wildequities.com, and we will respond as required by the law that applies to you.
14. Changes to This Website Privacy Policy
We may update this Website Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. If we intend to use personal data in a materially different way from that described when it was collected, we will provide notice as required by law.
15. How to Contact Us
If you have questions or concerns about this Website Privacy Policy, or if you wish to exercise any of your rights, contact us at info@wildequities.com or Wild Equities Management LLC, 1201 3rd Ave #2200, Seattle, WA 98101.
16. Complaints
We would like the chance to resolve any concern directly, so please contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. In the United Kingdom, that is the Information Commissioner’s Office (https://ico.org.uk). In the European Economic Area, you may contact the supervisory authority in the country of your residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.
